RUPATEX® class B

RUPATEX® Class B combines a copper conductor with a multi-layer reinforced insulation according to IEC 62368 (IEC 60950) and IEC 61558. This allows for the realization of safety transformers, switch-mode power supplies, and medical designs in Class B without separate interlayer insulation.

Class F is the next step for demanding thermal environments. Based on a more heat-resistant enamelled copper wire and a modified triple-insulation system, it enables safety-relevant designs in Class F (typically TI 155 °C). This allows for higher power densities and thermal reserves in power supplies, industrial electronics, and drive technology.

RUPATEX® – Extruded HF Litz Wires. Maximum resilience for demanding windings. Wherever standard high-frequency litz wires reach their mechanical or electrical limits, extruded litz wires offer the optimal solution.

Extrusion protects the sensitive bundle of single wires from external influences and significantly improves technical parameters:

Enhanced Dielectric Strength: The sheath acts as an additional, reliable barrier against electrical breakdown. Fulfills requirements for triple-insulated litz with reinforced insulation according to DIN EN 62368-1, DIN EN 60065, DIN EN 61558, and DIN EN 60601.
Note: Our coatings achieve a breakdown voltage of 3 to 4 kV with a wall thickness of only 0.1 mm (3 layers).
High Temperature Resistance: Approved for Class F (155°C).
Outstanding Flexibility: Despite the additional layer, the litz remains extremely bendable.
Mechanical Protection: Increased resistance to abrasion and pressure.
Chemical Resistance: Protection against oils, greases, and various chemical substances.
Processability: The extruded jacket is easy to remove for subsequent contacting.
Approvals: UL (E257248) and VDE (D254).
