The Challenge
High-frequency litz wires are usually delivered in fixed lengths between 200 and 400 meters. However, in many industrial applications, such as the winding of ferrite cores, specific lengths are required – often exactly 100 meters. If the delivery length does not match the production requirement, residual quantities of up to 90 meters per spool occur, which cannot be reused for technological reasons and are considered scrap. This leads not only to unnecessary costs but also contradicts modern requirements for sustainability and material efficiency.

Solution Strategy
